Decided to cook pasta, put water to boil, looked inside boiling pan and my glasses were loose, glasses fell into the boiling pan and now they are blurry as hell because I fucked up my lenses.

Mine have fallen off my face into nasty stuff a few times (I’m a Plumber). I’ve never pooched the lenses though.

I sat on mine and fucked it up bad enough so that one of the sides feel off and couldn’t re-attach. I only wrote them for driving so I had to drive around for a couple months with them only resting on 1 ear

My lenses are screwed as well. I got these new glasses only about 9 months ago and I splurged on the coating for when you’re at the PC all day. A week after I got them, I fished around in the desk to get one of the wipes they gave me and picked up an alcohol pad by accident. Half of the coating came off in patches so it looks like my glasses are filthy all the time. :-(

That’s annoying.

Couple of years ago I purchased a small ultrasonic cleaner. The manual had eyeglasses as an example that it could clean. My glasses were slightly dirty so I tested how it worked. That was really bad idea as the outer surface went totally matte. It seems that you shouldn’t try ultrasonic cleaning for glasses that have some kind of coating...

The worst is when they end up behind AND underneath the bed. Then you’re crawling on the dusty floor, blind, and it’s darker under there. That’s so bad.
